Super Smash Bros. 5 is rumored to be an entirely new game for the Nintendo Switch, and if that is true, I hope we get to see many of the changes and improvements and perhaps start seeing character reveal trailers to fuel the hype train all over again. We already know that the Inklings will join in on the fight, but who else will smash their way in? GameInformer has already done their suggestions among many others, so why not add to the conversation? Here are a few of my character ideas…
In this article, I’ll give you some of my own tips and advice on how to best start a collection if you are interested in having one of your own and how to grow it without throwing your wallet away. Let’s get started!
I created this over the course of a few weeks, trying to practice my Adobe Illustrator skills, and finished right in time for Valentine’s Day. With the Fire Emblem community, many had the great idea of doing a “Valentian Valentines” themed banner for more Echoes characters in Fire Emblem Heroes. Of course, that didn’t happen, but people had fun thinking about it. So, I felt inspired and felt that Rinea would be perfect for this…
For my birthday on April 6th, I was gifted with Monster Hunter World for the PS4 and I have been enjoying it ever since, playing it whenever I get the chance.
Instead of doing another “First Impressions,” I thought about how it would be interesting to talk about how Capcom was successful in creating a certain feel or atmosphere that engages players to get excited about hunting giant monsters. So, here we are at the Canteen… let’s get started.
The Kid Icarus series didn’t see the light of day for twenty years till Kid Icarus Uprising came out in 2012. Now it’s 2016 and Nintendo hasn’t done anything since besides including Dark Pit and Palutena as new playable characters in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS which released in 2014. While Kid Icarus Uprising wasn’t perfect, I think it’s one of the best 3DS games. Pit would be great to include in the initial lineup of titles for the “NX” when it arrives for many reasons.
The last time I talked about Xenoblade Chronicles X for the Wii U, I gave it a review and you can read it right here. It wasn’t as great as I was hoping for it to be, but maybe that is partly due to having high expectations since I really enjoyed Xenoblade Chronicles. However, the game wasn’t terrible either. For me, XCX is in the odd middle ground of sorts overall. In this article, I’ll be talking more depth about what worked and didn’t.
There will be some spoilers here for both XCX and XC if you read more, you have been warned.
Game Informer will give its members some writing challenges every now and then in their Blog Herding articles, so without ado… here it is:
Community Writing Challenge: What do you think your favorite video game characters would do if they suddenly found themselves in our world? Would it be chaos? Would Mario and Luigi set up a plumbing business?
I’ll try to answer with the best of my ability about some of my favorite characters. 🙂
