Yesterday, there was a 48-minute long Nintendo Direct. There was a lot said and shown, even though it is not as much as people wanted or expected. I’ve been reading many criticisms from fans and others alike, but I thought it was mostly good for what it was. The best part of it was definitely the second trailer for Fire Emblem If, followed by the confirmation that Fire Emblem X Shin Megami Tensei is still alive (I was right to have hope!).
Most of the video was focused on, you guessed it, Amiibos. The Wave 4 of SSB characters will be released on May 29. Waves 5 (Dark Pit & Palutena) and 6 (Olimar, Dr. Mario, etc.) will be out in July and September respectively. There will also be Yarn Yoshis (yes, you’re reading this right) that will come in three colors: green, pink, and light blue.
You can find everything here. Thanks to GameInformer as always. 🙂
Full S.T.E.A.M. ahead! And don’t forget about A.B.E.! Codename S.T.E.A.M. flourishes in its weirdness as you encounter historical and literary characters alike as you go against the alien menace. Like I said in the first impressions, it is worth getting because it has mostly solid gameplay and a relatively good story as well. The comic book art-styling was a great choice to use because it works with everything. Here I’ll give you its rating and tell you more about the game. 🙂 Read the rest of this entry →
At first, I wasn’t planning on buying any amiibos, but eventually I hopped on the rocky train. They’re surprisingly good quality at a reasonable price. I would never go to places like eBay to get them selling over a hundred dollars though.
Their functionality needs to be improved on, since they are mostly for Super Smash Bros. at the moment.
I like having figurines of my favorite characters that I couldn’t afford otherwise, but with the lack of supply versus high demand, they’re becoming increasingly more difficult to obtain. Nintendo needs to fix this, so people don’t have to scramble to multiple stores in unlikely hopes of pre-ordering each one. It would be nice if I could just stop by Gamestop anytime to pick up any of the amiibos I want off the shelves without the hassle.
I know this is an old and on-going conversation, but what do you think of them? Do you have any or plan on collecting some?
