Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Spirit Of Justice came out on September 8th, 2016 on the Nintendo 3DS. It has also since been released on iOS and Android devices on September 21st, 2017. I played it on the Nintendo 3DS when it launched, finishing it weeks later. I meant to do a review around that time, but simply forgot about it. It may be late, but for those who are still interested and would like some insight, here it is. There is no need for a Divination Séance for this verdict.

First Impressions: Okami HD

Published April 9, 2018 by Amanda B. Greene

Okami HD is a high-definition remaster of a classic that was originally released on the Playstation 2. I will be talking about the Playstation 4 version, but you can also get the game on Microsoft Windows and Xbox One right now. Over the summer, you will also be able to play it on the Nintendo Switch. Okami is considered to be one of the best video games of all time due to its critical acclaim and artistic expression.

I am a few hours or so into the game now and I agree that it is great, especially for its timeless art style resembling what is called ink wash painting through cel-shading. If you’re interested, click the link to learn more.

Metroid: Samus Returns is a great return to its roots as a two-dimensional platforming shooter on the Nintendo 3DS. So far, I’ve gotten a few hours into the game and I’m liking it. This is more of what previous games like Metroid: Other M should have been like. Here are my first impressions…

Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon are remasters or definitive editions of sorts to Pokemon Sun and Moon respectively. As the final entries on the Nintendo DS/3DS family of handhelds for the franchise, Nintendo really put in the effort to make these games great. I picked up the sunny version when it came out, and I’ve recently completed it, so here’s the review.

The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask is a strange entry in the franchise as it goes through a lot of different emotions surrounding experiences of loneliness, hopelessness, pressure, and so on. Its Nintendo 3DS version is no different in that regard, and has only slight differences from the original N64 debut. I’ve had this game for a while, but I just recently finished it on the last day of 2017; check out Father Titan’s Essentials Challenge blog post featuring me by clicking here.

First Impressions: Persona 5

Published April 25, 2017 by Amanda B. Greene

Persona 5 is a new Japanese role-playing game that came out on April 4th and I’m enjoying every minute of it. I got the “Take Your Heart” special edition right when it released because I’ve been looking forward to this for a long time among the Persona fans. I feel like I’m almost towards the end of the game, but I won’t say any spoilers.

Breath of the Wild is the latest game in The Legend of Zelda series that was released on March 3rd. It largely breaks from traditions as it is an open world experience that everyone should play. I’ve played it to its conclusion, but this won’t contain any spoilers. Let’s wake up and get started!
