Super Smash Bros. 5 is rumored to be an entirely new game for the Nintendo Switch, and if that is true, I hope we get to see many of the changes and improvements and perhaps start seeing character reveal trailers to fuel the hype train all over again. We already know that the Inklings will join in on the fight, but who else will smash their way in? GameInformer has already done their suggestions among many others, so why not add to the conversation? Here are a few of my character ideas…

Last Super Smash Bros. Direct Recap!

Published December 16, 2015 by Amanda B. Greene

Hey guys, I know it’s been a long time since I’ve last blogged on here and I apologize for that. Anyways, yesterday Nintendo had their final Direct for Super Smash Bros. and it was shocking and awesome! New fighters, Corrin and Bayonetta, were announced and are to be released sometime in February. There was also more information on Cloud and his stage and he is available right now. And who could forget about new Mii Fighter costumes?

I’m a huge fan of Fire Emblem and I also enjoyed Bayonetta 1 and 2, so I’m more than excited to eventually play them both. What did you think of the video? You can listen to the GameXplain discussion of it here. To check out the artwork for the new characters from the official Super Smash Bros. website… Read the rest of this entry →

Special: My Miiverse Mission

Published July 10, 2015 by Amanda B. Greene

Super-Smash-Bros.-Miiverse-Stage

When the Miiverse stage came out for Super Smash Bros., I was excited to see some cool drawings. And while there are some great ones, most of them are either “I like [insert character’s name here]” or inappropriate pictures. So, right away I challenged myself to do at least one drawing for each character in the roster. I think I’m doing good so far, please let me know what you think. I’ll keep the list updated.

[Update: 12/27] More fighters to do: Cloud, Corrin, and Bayonetta

[Update: 10/17] Added Marth.

[Update: 8/28] Added Bowser.

If you wish to see the list of characters left to do and all the pictures so far… Read the rest of this entry →

Super Smash Bros. is definitely one of the best games of the year, especially for local multiplayer when you get everyone talking and taunting each other. This is one game is one of the reasons why to have a Wii U. You get all these iconic characters, like some of the biggest in the gaming world such as Mario, Sonic and Mega Man, going against one another in epic matches. Read the rest of this entry →

Summary/Reception

I honestly forgot to do a preview before it came out on Friday, sorry. Anyways, Super Smash Bros. is the fourth entry of the Super Smash Bros. franchise (weird how Nintendo didn’t change the title by at least adding a four or something like “Dojo”, but oh well). It is popular, addictive fun for friends and family. It is a fighting game that has nearly all of Nintendo’s stars, plus some guest appearances, come together for an all-out brawl of the century. Hype For Video Games: Good Or Bad?

Published October 27, 2014 by Amanda B. Greene

Fans always get excited for upcoming games, but there are just some video games that get people going nuts as they impatiently wait for them to be released. I personally get “hyped up” sometimes for the really big, popular ones like Super Smash Bros. (4) for the Wii U out on November 21st. But most of the time I try to keep myself reserved and calm because they may not always turn out. My brother, for instance, was hopeful yet cautious for Alien Isolation, so when it didn’t do as well as he would’ve liked, he was disappointed but alright.

So is hype good or bad or does it depend on the situation?
