Breath of the Wild is the latest game in The Legend of Zelda series that was released on March 3rd. It largely breaks from traditions as it is an open world experience that everyone should play. I’ve played it to its conclusion, but this won’t contain any spoilers. Let’s wake up and get started!

Review: Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE

Published September 11, 2016 by Amanda B. Greene

Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE is an odd crossover project between the Fire Emblem and Shin Megami Tensei franchises that no one expected. While it was not what most people wanted (including myself, a darker R.P.G.), this game proves the two can easily combine for great gameplay. The story, however, mostly falls to the wayside due to its straightforward predictability, but there are a few little surprises here and there; this is a shame because both series are known for deep, great storytelling. So without further ado, let’s get started. *Warning – There are some minor spoilers!

Some Thoughts On Xenoblade Chronicles X…

XenobladeChroniclesX

The last time I talked about Xenoblade Chronicles X for the Wii U, I gave it a review and you can read it right here. It wasn’t as great as I was hoping for it to be, but maybe that is partly due to having high expectations since I really enjoyed Xenoblade Chronicles. However, the game wasn’t terrible either. For me, XCX is in the odd middle ground of sorts overall. In this article, I’ll be talking more depth about what worked and didn’t.

There will be some spoilers here for both XCX and XC if you read more, you have been warned.

Review: Xenoblade Chronicles X

Xenoblade Chronicles X (XCX) is one of great potential for sure, but did it succeed in meeting up with the high expectations and hype flowing from Xenoblade Chronicles (XC)? Personally, I mostly enjoyed XC, though it had problems towards the end with the story getting too stretched out and odd. Anyways, I’ll try to cover as much as I can in the review without spoilers, and then later on I’ll be doing another article detailing more on what worked and what didn’t.

Review: Child of Light

Child of Light was the game-of-the-year in 2014 for many it seems, and I’m late to the party. I beat it recently and I truly enjoyed almost everything about it. The story and characters are good, suiting the fairytale theme. The music was alright, the song in the end credits and the main battle theme stood out. Beauty is clearly the focus point of this game because the art is amazing. I recommend Child of Light, whether it’s at full price or at a discount on occasion. Read the rest of this entry →

Review: The Wonderful 101

The Wonderful 101 just didn’t click with me. You can check out my first impressions here. There was some quirky humor with the story and characters since I enjoyed how they played off of superhero stereotypes at times and the overall atmosphere was just fun. Other than that however, I found the gameplay to be too frustrating to deal with. So without further ado, here’s my review. Read the rest of this entry →
